Narrative:

On 07/28/2018, at about 1759 hours, the Deschutes County Sheriff‘s Office received a call from Gerry Siegmann, that his wife, Roberta Siegmann, had walked away from the park and was last seen at 1:00 P.M. Gerry advised dispatch his wife was suffering from memory loss and had left her purse and phone in the motor home and had their dog “Bo” walking with her.

Three Deschutes County Sheriff‘s Office Deputies, one patrol Sergeant and one Special Services Sergeant responded to the area and began conducting road searches of the immediate area as well as obtaining vital informational details for responders.

At about 6:57 P.M., a Deschutes Alert Mass Notification was sent to include a 2 mile radius of the Creekside Park with a result of approximately 2800 phones receiving the message to be on the look out for Roberta.

Two Deschutes County Sheriff‘s Office Search and Rescue members were deployed in a vehicle as a hasty team. During this time, the DCSOSAR Incident Management team of three volunteers and two DCSOSAR deputies created a search plan for 13 more DCSOSAR volunteers and nine Fire Corps volunteers from the Sisters Fire District.

At about 8:00 P.M. the DCSOSAR hasty team located Roberta and Bo on the east side of the Sister’s Movie House sitting in the grass among some bushes.

Roberta was evaluated by DCSOSAR medics and was released to the care of her husband, Gerry.

The Deschutes County Sheriff‘s Office would like to thank numerous citizens who provided information as well as Chief Roger Johnson and the Sisters-Camp Sherman Fire District for their assistance.
